This beautiful cat was abandoned on a rainy day on the steps of a church in Brooklyn. One of our members took him back to Queens and we took him into rescue that afternoon.

We were lucky to find a foster home for Griffin shortly after his rescue.

One of our adopters knew of a couple that was grieving the loss of their senior cat. They wanted to help another and Griffin seemed to be a perfect match for them. Here he is on our ride into Manhattan to meet his new mom and dad.

We were asked to help this adorable young cat that was found inside of a commercial building in Long Island City, N.Y.

The cat was staying in the stairway of the building keeping out of the heat. She was being fed by employees.

We took her into rescue and named her Dixie. We fostered Dixie and hoped to find her a new home where she would be loved and cared for.

It took several months but finally one of her photos caught the eye of a cat lover. She inquired about Dixie and we set up a meeting soon after.

Dixie was very relaxed and really liked the home and all the toys she found and tried out. Then she got to meet the resident cat Luke. She was curious and went over to smell him, but Luke wasn't sure about having a new sister.

A week or so later Dixie moved in and we started the foster to adopt process. After a month Dixie's foster mom wanted to make it official and Dixie was adopted soon after.

We received a call from someone that was visiting a friend in Flushing. She saw Julia on the street and noticed how thin she was and how she was searching for food.

The following day we went out looking for Julia and a neighbor showed us where she was staying. Someone had put a box out with a small blanket for her to lay in.

We rescued Julia that afternoon and took her right over to the vet's office. She got very comfortable and was happy to be off the street.

Little by little Julia's fur grew in and she started to look better. She had a healthy appetite and was enjoying all the attention she was getting from the staff at the vet's office.

Finally after several weeks Julia was really coming around nicely and she was ready to be adopted.

Through networking with other animal lovers on Facebook, Julia found a wonderful home in Brooklyn. Here she is relaxing in her new home.

2019 Our friend Angel rescued this adorable 3-month-old kitten from the service road of the Grand Central Parkway late one evening on her way home from work.

Due to her work schedule she asked if we could take the kitten to the vet for her the following morning. While this adorable kitten was in our home we were able to get some really cute pictures and videos of her and began sharing them immediately

She rescued him from a local park and saved his life. She was anxious to find him a home with someone that would love and care for him.

We wanted to help put her mind at ease and started networking with friends. It took some time, but with the help of a friend that networked with her friends, a wonderful home was found for Smokey with a couple that was grieving the loss of their elderly cat. They were ready to help another cat and when they heard about Smokey they knew he was the cat for them.

Smokey’s rescuer took Smokey to his new home. She was very happy to meet the couple and knew that Smokey would be in good hands with them. It makes us happy to know that through networking, we were able to help give this woman peace of mind.

There were no lost signs posted in the area and nobody was aware of any lost cats. The couple was concerned about this sweet cat, especially with winter coming. They were desperate for help.

We were happy to help and made arrangements to meet. The cat was seen by our vet the following day and was given the name Melanie. She tested negative and was estimated to be 2-years-old.

Melanie came to live with us while we searched for a new home. She was adopted shortly after and spend the holidays in her new home with her new mom and new feline sister. She was renamed Lillyette.

Wolfie and Octavia were the most frightened of the litter of 5 rescued kittens. They were lucky to find a great foster home together where they could be worked with by experienced cat lovers.

Here is Wolfie looking adorable, but still a bit nervous.

Octavia seemed to come around quicker and we felt that she was ready for adoption. A very nice lady took an interest in her and was so excited when Octavia came to live with her, but after a few weeks she realized that Octavia was missing her brother and was not comfortable being away from him. Octavia was returned to us and then went back to live with Wolfie.

After discussing this with their foster parents they decided that they had plenty of room to keep both cats and wanted what was best for them. Here is Wolfie after adoption.

Mittens and Socks were only 3 months old when they were rescued from a yard in Hollis, Queens in June 2016.

Mittens has a deformed back foot that is more noticeable as she is growing.

Socks was very shy and felt safe when he was snuggled up against Mittens.

We were lucky to find a foster home for them. The family took a lot of time socializing them and getting them to trust people.

Noel was one of the friendliest cats of a group of cats that lived in the Hollis, Queens area.

Noel's caretaker contacted us for help. She was going to be moving and didn't want to leave Noel on the street.

Noel had an upper respiratory infection that was getting worse.

We were very concerned and offered to take her into rescue. We picked her up right after Christmas on a very cold night.

The infection was so bad that the staff at our vet's office could not get it under control. Her medication was switched a few times but there was no improvement.

We decided to take Noel to another vet that had more of a hospital setting and was able to do different procedures. We were told that Noel had polyps in her throat. Once they were removed she was on the road to recovery.

One night when we were visiting I spent some time alone with Noel. She is a nervous cat, she will rub all over you and loves to be pet, just don't try to pick her up.

Noel did not do well in the foster home. She hid behind the sofa most of the day because she feared the family's dogs. After seeing this, we decided to take her to our house. She felt much more secure being around our rescued cats.

Another pregnant cat rescued from Hollis, Queens. If she had not been rescued she would have given birth on the street and non of the litter would have survived. Cersei was a very frightened cat and when she got closer to giving birth we secured her in a big caged in area.

When we returned home one evening we saw her in her litter box, she had given birth. We didn't want to disturb her so we left the room so she could be alone with her nursing babies. The following morning we noticed the kittens had not moved from the spot they were in. When we looked closer we noticed that the umbilical cord was wrapped around the kittens. We rushed them to our vet and had to carefully detach each kitten.

Sadly the 2 male babies were not strong enough to survive.

Another pregnant cat rescued from Hollis, Queens. If she had not been rescued she would have given birth on the street and non of the litter would have survived. Cersei was a very frightened cat and when she got closer to giving birth we secured her in a big caged in area.

When we returned home one evening we saw her in her litter box, she had given birth. We didn't want to disturb her so we left the room so she could be alone with her nursing babies. The following morning we noticed the kittens had not moved
